Christopher Lis is the Managing Director of Global Healthcare Intelligence at J.D. Power where he leads the strategic direction, growth and profitability of the practice.

Prior to joining J.D. Power, Lis was a senior advisor with Leavitt Partners, a national consulting firm founded by former HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt, that provides strategic advisory services to a broad range of healthcare organizations striving to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and sustainable.

Preceding his affiliation with Leavitt Partners, Lis served on the market executive leadership team at ChenMed, where he led significant growth and operational excellence success in value-based healthcare transformation for seniors in underserved communities. Before ChenMed, he served as president and COO for a post-acute healthcare network, leading an enterprise with more than 2,000 team members through a period of significant growth transformation, including winning the organization the McKnight’s Innovator of the Year Award in partnership with the executive team.

In prior roles, Lis served as corporate chief strategy officer while on the national executive team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (now part of City of Hope, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center). His leadership works have been featured in two Harvard Business School Case studies, a Bain & Company white paper, a Harvard Business School Press Book and more than 50 peer-reviewed medical and scientific manuscripts.

Lis holds a bachelor’s degree in health planning and administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MPH and Ph.D. from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Michael Vermillion is Senior Managing Director with J.D. Power’s Global Business Intelligence Group with oversight of the Customer Service Advisory Practice at J.D. Power.

He is responsible for the growth of the segments’ business by leading growth initiatives, key capability development and new market entry. Other areas of responsibilities include strategic planning, new product development, sales enablement and strategic partnerships.

A key thought leader in the field of Customer Service Excellence, Mr. Vermillion is the co-author of the forthcoming book J.D. Power’s Guide to the Net Promoter Score® and is a regular contributor to CX webinars and white papers.

Mr. Vermillion brings to J.D. Power 25 years of experience in the strategy and product management fields. Prior to joining the company in 2015, he held executive roles in product, strategy, business development and consulting with Market Risk Partners, NAVEX Global, Dun & Bradstreet, Autobex, Salient3 Communications, Stern Stewart & Company and Procter & Gamble.

Mr. Vermillion is President of Chicago Booth Alumni of Los Angeles, the former chair of P&G Alumni of New York City and is a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Security Analysts, the Product Management Association and the American Marketing Association.

Mr. Vermillion received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Chicago.

Marty Ellingsworth serves as Executive Managing Director, P&C Insurance Intelligence Group at J.D. Power.

Marty is a leader in creating value from data and digital assets with advanced analytics. He is a strong advocate for customer centricity and has created innovation within and between almost every link in the P&C insurance value chain in both commercial and personal lines.

His longstanding accomplishments include productizing deep industry knowledge in risk assessment and rating as well as creating many valuable innovations especially in personal auto risk selection, rating, fraud detection, claims, subrogation, and customer experience.

Prior to joining J.D. Power, he served as a thought leader in data, AI, and cloud at Celent an advisory firm where he focused on insurance (Celent is a part of OliverWyman and Marsh & McLennan). For the last two decades in his insurance career, he also held leadership roles in analytics with USAA, Verisk, and Allianz (Fireman’s Fund), as well as a VC-backed insurtech pioneering text analytics and predictive modeling products. Prior to P&C insurance, he led analytics and network products in healthcare, and served as a scientific analyst while an officer in the United States Air Force.

Marty has a Bachelor of Science in operations research from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Science degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Chris Hodges is a Vice President leading J.D. Power’s Customer Experience Solutions practice. His focus is helping clients drive top-line revenue growth and increase operational efficiencies with effectively executed customer and employee experience strategies. As an accomplished problem solver, project manager, and change enabler, Chris works with executive-level leaders across multiple channels and business units to align technology strategies and solutions with business goals.

Prior to joining J.D. Power, Chris spent 20 years in business and technology consulting at Accenture, West Monroe Partners and Infosys Consulting leading digital customer experience initiatives for an array of Global 1000 enterprises across many industries including Automotive, Financial Services & Insurance, Energy & Telecom, Software & High Tech, Healthcare, Private Equity, Retail & CPG, Life Sciences and Manufacturing. 

Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems at Florida State University.

Amit Aggarwal is the Managing Director of J.D. Power’s Digital Solutions Group, which helps our clients benchmark and improve the digital products and experiences of their customers. Websites and mobile apps are our jam. We start with customer research, develop actionable insights/ recommendations, and deliver via consultative workshops with our clients.

We are research nerds, CX geeks, digital professionals, and advisors to C-Suite, senior management, digital teams/agencies, and research managers.

Amit is a recognized subject matter expert for digital user experience across a variety of industries, including automotive, financial services, utility, and telecommunications. He is well-versed in Internet trends, experienced working with digital teams, and a trusted client partner.

Amit has an MBA from UCLA and a BS in Computer Science and Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction from Stanford University.

Dan Seldin is a Senior Director in the Research and Data Science Department at J.D. Power. In this role, he manages an international team of data scientists to oversee the research design and statistical analyses of all projects within the energy, diversified, financial services, healthcare, infrastructure, insurance, telecommunications, and travel business sectors.

Dr. Seldin’s duties include designing study methodology, sampling, and questionnaires; managing partner vendors; providing research support; analyzing data, both quantitative and qualitative; turning statistical analyses into client-friendly insights; and presenting study findings to clients for numerous syndicated and proprietary studies. He also assists with the enhancement of research best practices, new product development, and the implementation of corporate-wide quality verification processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data.

Prior to joining J.D. Power in 2002, Dr. Seldin was a senior program evaluator for the Riverside Unified School District. In this position, he evaluated and assisted in the implementation of district-wide state and federally funded intervention programs aimed at increasing academic performance and school safety.

Dr. Seldin received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, magna cum laude; a master’s degree in psychology; and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Riverside.
